The Big Event is the EXCEL Foundation's annual fundraiser that funds grants awarded to individual educators and counselors in the Coeur d'Alene School District. For 36 years, the Big Event has enabled the foundation to award nearly 1,400 grants and has raised almost 2.5 million dollars.
