chance to excel in math and stretch their minds through working with
manipulatives, games and activities appealing to different multiple
intelligences and enhance the thought process of math. Materials funded: activity

Three-D-Math

A grant awarded for
the purchase of an XL Ellison LetterMachine and 3-D geometric die cutters,
project book and instructions. Students will experience math through a hands on
project approach. Their curiosity will be sparked through demonstration that it
is more than numbers on a piece of paper, and that math exists in art and the
spatial realm as well.

software and a printer. This equipment will allow students to experience
3-dimensional, visual mathematical concepts in order to make the math

modules (buzzers), question card sets, and a spinner board. Students will use a
buzzer system to provide answers to questions, volunteer information, and
indicate completion of tasks.
