lumber, concrete, wiring and heater vent. The experience would promote hands
on-math, science and writing. It involves 3rd and 4th grade students, teachers,

Ladybugs and the Magic of Metamorphosis

This grant offers students the opportunity to utilize
interactive educational technology and programs to enhance classroom experiences
and learning through natural and mechanical simulations in the areas of physical
science and geology.

Desktop PC AMS D865Gs, and 2 PC Display ADI 15” LCD ($5,118.00 with an
additional $2,900.00 in matching funds from another source).

Mad Science = Imaginative
Learning

A grant awarded to
hire the Mad Science team to come into each classroom and provide hands-on
scientific demonstrations to the students. This is a traveling science
enrichment program that will provide an “in-school” science field trip to
every classroom in our building, sparking imagination with hands-on science
activities.
The Real World Comes in Color

A grant awarded to purchase Tektronics Phaser
printer and supporting supplies. This grant will enable teachers and students to
create and produce high quality, inexpensive, color instruction materials and
projects that can be used in and outside the classroom for the purposes of
general instruction, presentation, and communication.
Aquadisplay
Recipient: Bryan Duncan,
Coeur d' Alene High School
A grant awarded
to purchase a culture tank, tank stand, sump tank, pump, bio-filters, tank
lights and cover, water test kit and heaters. Students will construct, assemble
and plumb the 240 gallon tank system. Students will measure,
monitor, and maintain the tank. This includes calculating carrying capacity,
acclimating the system and bio-filter, stocking the tank, following water quality parameters,
monitoring
physical parameters, calculating growth rates and food conversion ratios, and harvesting fish for sale. This aquaculture display tank will be located in the main
office at the high school.
